A young Cameroonian entrepreneur is proving that determination and creativity can transform small ideas into successful businesses. Gildas, 30, has built a growing reputation in the fashion industry after starting his female clothing business through a simple WhatsApp group.According to him, his journey began online. With limited resources, he created a WhatsApp group that included many of his contacts. Through the group, he regularly posted pictures of women’s clothing which he purchased from his aunt at relatively low prices before reselling them to customers. The strategy quickly attracted attention, allowing him to steadily grow his customer base. After operating the business online for two years, Gildas saved enough money to open his own physical shop. »Today my shop is booming with a lot of customers because I knew what I wanted and I remained consistent,” he said.Gildas also emphasized that starting an online business does not necessarily require large financial capital. He believes that determination and initiative are key factors for young people who want to become entrepreneurs. One of the strategies that has helped maintain the growth of his business is his focus on selling fashionable outfits at affordable prices, making them accessible to a wider range of customers.Through his experience, Gildas encourages young people to be industrious, hardworking and strategic if they want to succeed in business.
