Young Female Mechanic Breaking Barriers in Yaoundé. At 26, Fabiola Mekweko has chosen a career path which many people believe is meant for men. She works daily at a mechanic workshop in the Jouvance neighbourhood in Yaoundé to earn a living. According to her, being a mechanic was not her dream. However, she was faced with the realities of life. As the only woman in the mechanic workshop, Fabiola says she faces daily challenges during her working hours. Despite these difficulties, her greatest motivation remains her father, who has constantly praised her bravery. Fabiola hopes to build a brighter future for herself through the profession. Her dream is to one day open a garage abroad.
