Student journalists from the Advanced School of Mass Communication (ASMAC) have deepened their understanding of conflict security and peacekeeping operations following a high-level press conference in Yaounde. Held on Thursday, April 9, 2026, in Simbock, the session offered a rare opportunity for direct engagement between future journalists and military leadership. Supervised by ASMAC Director Professor François Marc Modzom, alongside Coordinator Alain Mouange and Head of the Radio Department Nana Blaise, the conference emphasized the importance of informed media coverage on security issues. During the interaction, military generals addressed participants, shedding light on ongoing conflict situations and the challenges affecting regional stability. Students were given the platform to ask questions, enabling a clearer understanding of military strategies and peacekeeping efforts. The exercise formed part of the Multinational Joint Peacekeeping initiative, aimed at strengthening cooperation and operational readiness among participating forces. It also highlighted the critical role of the media in reporting accurately on sensitive security matters. By the end of the session, ASMAC reaffirmed its commitment to building strong institutional partnerships and equipping student journalists with the knowledge needed to engage responsibly in national security discourse
